Based in Shanghai, Junya is responsible for leading investment sales opportunities across the Greater China region. Fluent in Mandarin, English and Japanese, Junya also provides investment advisory support for Chinese investors who are seeking hotel investment opportunities outside of China.
Experience & education
Before returning to JLL, Junya was a Senior Manager at the world’s largest hotel company – Marriott International, spearheading Marriott’s development marketing initiatives across Asia Pacific. His primary focus includes initiating and executing development marketing strategies to facilitate the company’s growth in Asia. During his time at Marriott, Junya played a significant role that contributed to the successful launch of Marriott’s upper midscale brands in China and the rest of Asia.
Prior to that, Junya started his career at JLL in 2014 based in the firm’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore. With extensive experience in both hotel advisory and investment sales business, Junya has engaged in more than US $ 1 billion in hotels transactions across Asia and Indian Ocean. Being trilingual, Junya relocated to JLL’s Tokyo office providing support to the Chinese investors seeking hotel investment opportunities in Japan.
Junya holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Real Estate from National University of Singapore. Junya has also completed the Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management Certificate Program at Cornell University.
