CBRE Hotels is pleased to have sold the freehold going concern interests in the Daintree Portfolio – a trio of accommodation and hospitality assets located in the UNESCO world-heritage listed Daintree Rainforest region, including the Daintree Ecolodge and adjoining development site, Red Mill House Bed & Breakfast and Daintree Village Hotel & General Store.

The assets within the portfolio are strategically located within a radius of approximately 3.5km, enabling significant economies of scale advantages and exceptional operational flexibility whilst benefiting from their positioning within the world-heritage listed Daintree Rainforest.

The Daintree Ecolodge is one of Australia’s most highly decorated, eco-friendly accommodation offerings. Situated on an expansive 6.57-hectare freehold site, the property features 15 luxurious free-standing villas, as well as an additional 5.39-hectare vacant parcel of land adjoining the Ecolodge, with approvals in place for the development of an additional ten units.
The asset offers a range of facilities, including the Julaymba Restaurant & Bar, wellness spa, pool, sun deck, elevated rainforest boardwalk, waterfall trail and indigenous cultural immersions.
The Red Mill House B&B is situated on a 6,070sqm freehold land parcel and is currently closed to provide staff accommodation for the Daintree Ecolodge. The Daintree Village Hotel & General Store comprises a commercial licence, bar, restaurant, bottle shop and full commercial kitchen, with the General Store providing basic grocery sales and acting as the village’s Australia Post outlet and courier collection point, however is currently only operating for takeaway alcohol sales and post office services. Over the property’s large 2,023sqm freehold landholding, there is a three-bedroom owner’s residence, and an additional area of vacant land.
